Proud Mama

Last night KE performed in her very first piano recital. She started taking lessons just 3 months ago. She played We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Yankee Doodle and did excellent! I don't have video and wish I did. We currently don't have a piano at home and are debating on whether or not we need to get one. Santa may bring her something to practice on. ;)
She received the "no practice" perfection award because since she doesn't have a piano at home, she still gets it and does great! We are very proud of her.

Wade informed us after KE's recital that he wants a microphone on a stand so he can sing for us and lots of peoples can come watch.

A Record

wow guys... i think this is a record.... i haven't posted in a WHILE.

I can't begin to tell you everything that has gone on but I will try..

Nathan was hospitalized with what we think was walking pneumonia a few weeks ago. That was NOT fun. They found a tiny spot on one of his lungs and we will be going to see a Dr at Lebohnner in Memphis come January. Our doctor does not think it's anything serious but just want to cover all our bases.

After a full recovery, Nathan turned 3!!!!! We had a choo choo birthday party and it was a hit.

This past weekend we traveled to South Carolina to see the Thaxton crew. The kids love it there as do I. My youngest cousin just got engaged so we will be back in May for the wedding. She is such a sweet girl and Nathan loved her.

This week has been jam packed with school Christmas parties and Wade's program. Tonight is our church program. KE and Wade will be in it. Tomorrow night is KE's very first piano recital. Then Friday is the last school party and we will be done for the holidays!! THANK GOODNESS! Some days I wish we could just simplify life and not have all this stuff to do. Just family, friends and fellowship. Looks like my life will not be slowing down anytime soon, but for that, I'm grateful anyway.
