Hustle and Bustle

Hi everyone.......

Has Christmas come faster this year or is it just me? I can't keep up! I do get caught up in the hustle and bustle of it all because my second love language is gifts!! I love getting gifts but I love even more giving gifts. Esp. when I know it will mean alot to that someone. T does not fully understand this. He just says oh just get them something.. well, I want to get the the most fabulous something. It doesn't have to be expensive.. just fabulous. It can even be Acts of Service.. which is my primary love language.

So today started ok getting dressed for church. We were asked to light the 4th advent candle and I had to teach Sunday school so when we had 10 minutes to leave for church and N ( the 2 year old) decides to "wash his hands" I switched to panic mode. He is so darn cute that I couldn't stay aggravated. I was putting my shoes on when I thought I heard water running in KE's bathroom. I walked to see KE and W watching TV so I hurried into the bathroom to find N looking up at me, KE's toothbrush in his mouth and him saying, "I wash hands" nodding as he said it. I wish I had a picture! His outfit was soaked along with his shoes so off they go! Miraculously, we get to church on time. We let KE read the Bible verse for today's candle and she did very well. T then read the prayer and after he said Amen, N smiles and says AMEN! I am so very thankful for my family.

I'm sure everyone is getting geared up for family visiting or going to visit family but I ask that you all take a time out and pray for those children that won't see the first gift and some that won't have anyone to love them on Christmas. I know this is a depressing subject but it is ALIVE AND WELL today. I read a comment from someone on Post Secret and it really made me think. It was from a waitress who wished there wasn't Christmas so she wouldn't have to tell her child there was no Santa. She can't afford to buy anything. We remember quickly how greatly blessed we are!

Tons of Fun

Where do I begin......

This past weekend a few of us mom's hosted a Christmas cookie decorating party and the girls loved it. This will be a tradition every year for their class we decided. I love helping my daughter to make memories like this.

"Charlie" is here! He has forgotten to fly home a couple of nights but the kids don't mind...

Monday N turned 2!!! I can't believe my baby is 2.. it won't be long that I don't even have toddlers. We had birthday pancakes and he really enjoyed KE and W singing Happy Birthday.

My loves hanging out together

This weekend we head off to Atlanta to see my dad's side of the family. I'm so excited. My Granny -the glue of the family- passed away in 2001, then I we went for a visit when KE was 7 months old. That is the last time I have seen everyone. Since then my a couple of my cousins have married. I'm the only girl among the cousins and I reaped the rewards of that growing up. :) KE is excited to get to meet her cousins as well!

I say Merry Christmas

I'm sure most of you have heard all the hype around whether or not to say Merry Christmas... And Bill O'Reily has a great bumper sticker which reads "We Say Merry Christmas" Have people forgotten that we would not even have Christmas if it wasn't for Christ?! Sometimes as a Christian I feel like I'm in the twilight zone in this world.. but then again, we kind of are! I was directed to this cute new website mother/daughter based in Ridgeland, MS and they have this cute tee along with others. Click on it!
