More Tea Please!!

Tomorrow is my baby's 7th birthday! This weekend I hosted her a tea party with her close friends. The only thing she asked for was real sugar cubes. I think they had so much fun and thanks to ALL who pitched in to help make this the best tea party a girl could have !!

Pumpkin Patch as if it were 1993

I say 1993 b/c as you already know, I dropped my camera and it's kaput. Of course I was ready to go out and buy a new one first thing Saturday morning , but my sweet hubby said no. He said we could use his "game" camera. For all of you hunting widows, you know exactly what this is. For those of you that don't.. it's simply a 35 mm camera that velcros to a tree and snaps a photo whenever it senses movement... hopefully a big BUCK! These cameras have the quality of the cameras back in the day. ( or at least the camera I could afford when I was 16)

Sunday after church we ventured about a couple of hours away to the great pumpkin patch. The kids had a blast.
maybe you could tell me what camera you use and why you like it so much!

Costume Party

Last night we went to the annual costume party as Popeye and Olive Oyl. We saw Skipper and his wife, Michael Jackson and 80's girl, Gilligan and Mary Anne, Dorothy and Scarecrow, Dog Bounty Hunter and his wife, 70's Dicos couples, Priest and Pregnant Nun, Hillbillies, Frog and a Princess, and McCain and Sarah Palin to name a few. Mid party I dropped my camera! Ahhhh and it broke. Here are some of the pics that I did get....

The Circus Came to Town

We live in a small town where there isn't a whole lot to do, esp. for children. We were given free children's tickets so why not? Walt, Laura and Luke met us there. We didn't tell the kids and I wish I had a pic KE's face when she saw the big top. She said " Oh mama, thank you! I thought you would never do this for me!" This pics aren't the greatest but here they are.....

That's The Spirit!

It has been a busy week! Since tomorow is the beginning of a new week and I haven't posted in a while, I thought I would.

I was so excited to receive most of my BBTN stuff!

Tuesday morning we had a visitor.. a cat! I don't care for cats... I'm allergic. The boys loved it through the kitchen storm door.

Two days later, there she was again. I take a closer look in the carport to see this! Apparantley someone had dropped this little family off. I called my neighbors and so I can't imagine the mama cat bringing all 3 of her babies from wherever...

These are the cutest kitties!! This was the same morning I was leaving for the Canton flea market and I was in a bit of a panic to find a safe, loving home for them. I know a girl who LOVES cats and I knew she would add them to her collection. I tell her she is going to become the crazy cat lady and she is younger that me. She finally came Friday morning and I was relieved. KE said to me, "I think it's sad that you are allergic to something to cute." I couldn't agree more!

Back to Canton. It was a blast. I was finally able to visit Shana at her Rustic Creations booth. I'm so proud of her. She has come a long way and has shown much faith to get where she is now in her business. Laura and I went for the entire day which ended in a delicious dinner at Bonefish and a trip to Target! (I recommend Lily's Chicken and the ceasar side salad if you ever go there)

Today, I loaded up the kids and headed to Jackson. I was inspired at the Canton Flea Market and just had to try something out! I have always been a bit crafty so I knew I could tackle this.... and yes I took all 3 kids by myself. After shopping, we picked up Chick-Fil-A and had a picnic at the park. I let the kids play for a while and we headed back home. ( I'm not saying I didn't stress at all during this trip)

Here's a peek. I will share more when I'm done:

And here are a few extra pics from the week....

Okay, Here's the Situation......

My parent's went away on a weeks vacation anddd.... OH

I received a phone call from a friend who told me what happened with another "friend". Let's just say my friend is "Sally" and her friend is "Carla" .... all names will be changed... My friend loaned her friend her maternity clothes.....

So Carla calls Sally to see if she wants her maternity clothes back that she loaned her. Sally says let me see if Judy would like them since she is expecting now. This was probably 2 weeks ago. Well, yesterday Sally gets back to Carla to let her know that Judy would like to go through the clothes and would it be okay if they make arrangements to come pick up the clothes? Carla proceeds to say, I already took them to the salvation army.

What?! Did I miss something? I would love to get your opinion on this situation. What would you do or say? My friend responded with ( this was email by the way) Alrighty Then!

Overwhelming October!

Last night we ate delicious Italian spaghetti at my in-laws' Catholic church. Every fall they have the supper with a fair. There is go fish, the rib-eye booth, cake booth, bingo and a jumpy thing for the kids. W decided he wanted to sleep with KE. About 20 minutes later this is how we found them.

October has gotten off to a bit sickly start. KE was up and down all night with earache complaints. Sure enough she has an ear infection and is missing school for the first time.... We didn't brake any records with this one. She has on her fuzzy socks and fuzzy blanket all snuggled up on the couch. What I wouldn't give to be doing that right now.

This month is jammed packed with activities for all and I will try my best to stay stress-free ( yeah right) This week I'm hosting bunko and so excited to try out some new foods on my girls.

Some of them are:
Mississippi Sin Cups
Crack Torte... okay.. so I can't think of anything better
Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Thingies (thanks to Ree)
Chicken Alfredo Pizza Bites ( with my homemade alfredo sauce)
Crunchy Ham and Swiss Balls

I will be doing orderves (or is it really hors d'oeuvres?) for the upcoming Holiday Market in November. I know I can count on some honest opinions. I came up with a pie recipe a couple of years ago and it was a sure hit! I will be serving and selling those as well..... that brings me to placing my order for containers and labels.

It dawned on me this morning that I need to send out Ke's 7Th birthday invites next week! EEK! Needless to say, I just bought them to print myself. She wants a tea party so I want to make it as special as possible. I have tons of ideas!

Then of course there is Halloween costumes to decide on for parties and trick or treating. Not to mention, school, homework, soccer, dance and cleaning. Does St John's Wort really work?

Here are some pics from when T came home from his trip. He always brings gifts! Halloween costumes maybe? He got KE a wooden flute, Hannah Montana tin purse and watercolors.
