Dinner and a movie

Last week, T was elk hunting in Colorado ( nope.. no luck with the elk) and came home Friday. He asked me out on a date! We went to the fabulous Doe's and to see the new movie Fireproof.

I highly recommend this movie for everyone. How refreshing it is to have a Christian movie out! And if any of you had the biggest crush on Kirk Cameron in 1989, it is great to see him on screen again.

Speaking of the 80's... this is what I would have looked like if I had not been 12!

Pras the Lowd!!

KE is always asking me for paper ( from my computer) to draw. She loves making up stuff. As I was cleaning tonight, I found this sheet of paper. I thought it was so funny that I had to share. Apparently this is a song. Keep in mind that W just got a sword for his birthday.......

oh and p.s.... she is working hard on sounding out words....

Mom of Eleven

There is a blog that I'm totally intrigued with... It's a mom's blog. She is 34 and has eleven children. Yes.... you heard me correct. 3 are biological and she has legal custody of the other 8. This couple is truly amazing. I would have an entire house full ( maybe not that full) if fiances allowed ... sad to say. From the looks of this family, that is not an issue. Praise God for them!

No Middle Child Syndrome Here!

This past week has been all about Wade but first I must start with last Sunday. We stayed home from church because I had an awful sinus infection all weekend. I mentioned having family worship. I hear an announcement from KE and W that they are ready!!

W turned 3 Wednesday and we started the celebration Tuesday ( since he only goes to school Tues/Thurs) with cupcakes for his class...

God is great. God is good.......

On Wednesday it was official and we had birthday pancakes!!

Time for the Party!!

The cake turned out absolutely precious

Busy Bees

I still don't think I have grasped a schedule yet and if any of you know me well, I live for schedules! We have been busy with school, soccer, dance not to mention homework, suppertime, bath time and bedtime.

KE is adapting to 1st grade much better and she is quite the soccer player.... last year she was a daydreamer. Last week she made her first goal. I was so excited and she was too. ( She is #4)

W and Jase having a go while the team is on break.

Speaking of these two, since they are 4 days apart, their 3rd Birthday will be celebrated together.

I ordered birthday invitations from Address to Impress and can I say I'm Impressed!

Not only is the invitation adorable, the customer service was impeccable...

Tell me what you think....

We have made arrangements to pick up a "train" for the kids to ride. This will be the surprise of the party..... Pray for no rain at least until noon!!!

This weekend was jam packed with family and friends. The Lang's came to visit for dove hunting. Saturday night mimi and papaw rented a Limo to pick everyone up for the Bourbon Mall to celebrate Jimmy and Jesse's birthdays. Needless to say, we didn't get a sitter and wasn't prepared for a limo ride. Of course W wanted to go in the big car so in the carseat it goes! As T was putting it in, I kept thinking, 'You might be a redneck if...' We took N in our car and had a great time. The best steak I have eaten in a while.

THE DOVE EAT

After a wonderful baby shower after church, I took the kids to mimi and papaw's.

Every year the family has a big dove hunt then a "Dove Eat" the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Well, if you are not up to speed on dove season, it started late this year so we had to move the Dove Eat up a week. T and papaw marinate the doves overnight and then grill them to perfection. The ladies cook all the fixins. Family and friends come and it is always a treat.

The cooks ( the apron is a huge joke each year)

KE playing tackle football with her cousins.

The boys "taking care" Luke who doesn't seem to mind.

Just out of Curiosity......

As I grow older, I realize the importance of knowing and understanding politics. It wasn't that long ago when I would make comments like " I hate politics" Well, quite frankly, that was only because I didn't know anything about them.

Lately I find myself glued to the television trying to understand where each candidate stands on issues important to me and not so important to me. I watch mostly one network but I do flip to see what the other networks are saying.

This is my question of the day to you all....

What do you think about having a woman as the VP pick? Do you think it's a smart move for America? I want to know your thoughts! I might tell you mine later...as long as you will still have me! :)
